Teen Out-of-School Suspension (TOSS) Program
This program is designed to deal with the number of out-of-school suspensions. It is a meaningful educational intervention that keeps students engaged in learning and connected to school. It also helps them maintain continuity in education and school work assignments and provides a structured time-out from the traditional school setting. Our Teen Out-of-School Suspension program is designed to reduce the current drop-out rates, reduce repeated misbehavior, teach new skills and teach alternatives to violence.
The Day After Tomorrow Program
This program is designed to address the needs of teens paying close attention to teens aging out of the Wisconsin foster care system. Our main focus is to first teach communication skills. The training emphasizes on the development of content and relationship for effective oral communication. Topics include oral communication skills, interpersonal communication skills, effective listening, and intercultural communication. This program also provides learners with the opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills, process, and understanding of the communication process, interpersonal relationships, self-concept, perception, language, nonverbal messages, cultural differences, listening, group interaction, personality enhancement (self esteem), and public communication. The communication skills program and training is delivered in modules to structure the lessons.
